Creating the best quality products that will stand the test of time is central to what we do. We’re fed up with our throwaway society, where items are worn only a handful of times before they enter the depths of our wardrobes never to be seen again.
Without compromising on style, quality or performance, we challenge ourselves to create that which is stylish from sustainable fabrics. This involves testing different fabrics and blends to see what works and what doesn’t so that we can manufacture the most durable, comfortable and fashionable garments with the lowest impact on the environment.

Making quality clothing
To do this, our suppliers must not only adhere to strict ethical and sustainable standards, they must also work with us to continuously test and iterate so we can bring you the best possible solutions. Each item must look and feel amazing whilst maintaining our dedication to our core value of sustainability.
The lifespan of most clothes made today is constantly shortening, with the average number of times a garment is worn having decreased by 36% over the past 15 years. This has culminated in the volume of clothes we are throwing away doubling since the late 1990s. Nowadays nearly three-fifths of all clothing ends up in incinerators or landfills within a year of being produced.

To make matters worse, we are increasingly relying on synthetic and chemically intensive materials to produce our clothes, which when thrown away leads to chemical bleaching of the soil and the inability of many synthetics to degrade. This throwaway fast fashion lifestyle is one of the main reasons why fashion has become so environmentally damaging.
As a result, Cariki produces quality items which are made to be worn every day. This requires us to use only the best sustainable fabrics and first class manufacturing techniques to ensure our clothes can be enjoyed for years to come.
